Biography
Raj Kohli is one of the Middle East automotive sector's most respected and accomplished advisers, with more than three decades of experience spanning financial leadership, executive management, and strategic automotive consultancy.
He began his career in 1996 with American International Group (AIG) as Senior Accountant, before being recruited by Citigroup as European Financial Controller. In that role, he led a substantial multinational finance team and developed extensive expertise in corporate governance and strategic financial management, a foundation that would prove formative in the advisory work that followed.
Raj joined HCP Automotive in April 2002 as Managing Consultant, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2014 following years of exceptional growth and market success. Under his leadership, HCP Automotive became one of the region's most recognised names in automotive talent acquisition and executive search across the Gulf Cooperation Council.
In 2018, Raj founded HCP Group, expanding the firm's mandate beyond executive search into the full spectrum of strategic automotive advisory. Widely regarded as a trusted adviser to dealer groups, family offices and OEMs, he has played a pivotal role in reshaping the Middle East's approach to automotive leadership advisory, acquisitions, and board governance.
Raj founded HCP Group on the belief that the most valuable advice comes from individuals who have operated at the highest levels of the industry themselves.
